Are you a creative content designer who loves bringing stories to life through strong visuals, thoughtful design and engaging content? Do you want your creativity to really matter?

At St Luke’s Hospice, we’re looking for a Marketing Coordinator – Content Designer to help shape how our charity looks, feels and connects with people across Sheffield and beyond.

This is a varied, hands-on role where no two days look the same, one day you might be designing campaign graphics, the next capturing photography at an event or creating assets that support our incredible clinical teams.


About the role

You’ll be responsible for creating eye‑catching, accessible and on‑brand content across all St Luke’s channels, including:

  • Social media
  • Print and direct mail
  • Digital screens
  • Email marketing
  • Photography and short‑form video

Working closely with our Campaigns & Digital Coordinator, you’ll help make sure our campaigns are visually consistent, audience‑focused and delivered on time. You’ll also play a key role in maintaining our brand, supporting colleagues with templates, and contributing creative ideas that strengthen St Luke’s storytelling.


What you’ll be doing

Brand & Visual Identity

  • Champion and apply the St Luke’s brand across everything we produce
  • Create and use templates for campaigns, fundraising, retail and internal communications
  • Ensure all content is inclusive, accessible and compassionate

Content Creation

  • Design engaging content for print, web, social media and email
  • Create campaign assets such as posters, leaflets, social graphics and event visuals
  • Update and adapt direct mail packs and campaign materials
  • Support email marketing with visuals and layout guidance
  • Bring creative ideas to campaign planning and organisational projects

Photography & Video

  • Capture photography and video across hospice sites, shops, events and the community
  • Edit photos and short videos for social media and campaigns
  • Work flexibly when needed, including occasional evenings or weekends

Collaboration & Workflow

  • Work collaboratively with marketing colleagues for seamless campaign delivery
  • Liaise with printers and suppliers to ensure quality and value
  • Support colleagues to use templates and apply the brand correctly

Asset Management & Quality

  • Keep design files organised, up to date and easy to find
  • Maintain image libraries and shared folders
  • Ensure content meets GDPR, safeguarding and ethical standards

We’re looking for someone who…

Essential experience & skills

  • Has experience creating high‑quality design work for print and digital
  • Has worked on campaigns, social media, websites or publications
  • Is confident juggling multiple briefs and deadlines
  • Is skilled in Canva and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Has photography and basic video editing skills
  • Has a sharp eye for detail and brand consistency

You’ll also bring

  • A strong understanding of branding and accessibility
  • Knowledge of digital formats for social media, web and email
  • A creative, proactive and solutions‑focused mindset
  • Empathy and sensitivity when working in a hospice environment
  • A genuine commitment to St Luke’s values and ethos

Desirable (but not essential)

  • Experience in the charity, health or hospice sector
  • Skills in animation, motion graphics or advanced video editing
  • Familiarity with CMS platforms (e.g. WordPress)
  • Confidence presenting creative ideas to colleagues
